Revelation is the book where systems go to prove themselves, and Mauro had already dismantled the one he was raised in. Here he walks the Apocalypse vision by vision: the Son of Man among the lampstands, the seven letters, the throne, the seals, the trumpets, the two beasts, the vials, and the city at the end. He reads it as a book written to churches under Roman pressure, in a language of signs those churches already knew from the prophets, and he insists on one discipline throughout: let Scripture interpret the sign before the newspaper does. It is the practical outworking of the argument he made in The Gospel of the Kingdom, applied to the book that argument had to survive.
